Views of Narrow gauge railways from the past and also the present featuring several lines now departed or pre-preservation. Switzerland in particular still has a huge variety of lines, the smaller ones now mainly passenger only but some have retained and developed freight services. In other parts of the World and in the UK only preservation has ensured the survival of the narrow gauge whilst parts of closed standard gauge lines have been re-born as enthusiast run narrow gauge lines.
